Week of July 28, 2013

Hello friends!

Its really been a quiet week around here considering, but I thought I'd share what the family did this week:

On Monday, the momma finally got to go see HER knee doctor and guess what?!?!?  No, Not a torn ACL!!?  Just a torn meniscus!  The doctor wants to do surgery, but the momma asked him if it could wait until October 'cuz she has a BIG fundraising event coming up and he said, sure - you've waited this long!  SO, she told him OK, anytime October 8th or after 'cuz Howl at the Moon and Wine is on the 6th and she has a LOT to do to get ready for that!

Tuesday was another day of litte sleep for the momma!  She worked late 'cuz its meeting Tuesday.  Then when she got home the people from the mobile car wash were already here so she had to wait up until they were done cleaning the BUV (BOY did it need it!!).  My eye as been runny for the past week, but over the weekend, it also started gettin green boogers in it, so she called my eye doctor and they wanted me to come in at 12:15, so we did.   I am happy to report that my eye pressure tested at 10 which is GREAT and I had normal tear production, so they concluded that since they didn't see anything IN my eye, that I must have gotten something in there that irritated it and then it got infected, so I got a refill on my NO GLAUCOMA drops and got a new new one for NO MORE GREEN EYE BOOGERS one!  We didn't get hoe untl 145pm.  At 4:45 Teddi went to the vets for her 4th Adaquin injection.  Dr. Young is VERY happy with the way that Teddi is walking and thinks that if she tore her ACL, then its probably only a partial tear! :-)  However, on the way home to come get us, the momma decided that she needed more sleep and she texted our friends to tell them that we weren't going to make it to the dog park! :-(

Wednesday the mom got to go pick up her new glasses!!  She thinks they are AWESOME and says is like looking at an HD-TV all the time now!  Then she came home and got us and we went to the park for an extra half hour to make up for yesterday.

Thursday, the guy from Restoronics came by and brought the dad his guitar and amp back and took he momma's puter to clean it (hoping it doesn't skip letters anymore when it comes back!!).  Daryl from Schwan's found our right now house and brought the momma and the dad a gallon of Chocolate ice cream (Daryl is our driver from OUR house!!)!   Then the momma went over to our house to meet Patrick from the contractor's office.  He is going to help the momma design her kitchen so that it is PERFECT!!  They talked and measured and talked some more and he told the momma that he'd have something for her to look at when she got to work tonight!  When she got home the UPS guy delivered her Pampered Chef order!  2 big boxes of stuff to go thru and deliver to her friends and a 1 whole box of stuff for our new kitchen!!  Of course she isn't going wait for the new kitchen to use some of the stuff (mostly the tools), but she did put some of the big stuff back in the box and put that in the garage until she abolutely needs it!  By the time she was done seperating everything, she realized that we missed Teddi's appointment for her 2nd shot this week, so she called the vet to reschedule and off we went to the park!  When the momma got to check her e-mails at work she saw that Patrick had indeed sent her some pictures of what her kitchen could look like.  It didn't have the ovens or fridge where she hoped and the pantry was smaller, but it wasn't bad.  He asked for her thoughts (BIG mistake, Patrick!) so she did.  She asked him to move the ovens to the end by the door and to see if she could move the fridge next to the stove and a bunch of other questions.  Hopefully he'll have time to work on her gianormous requests tomorrow!

Friday, was another late day for the momma 'cuz she had another meeting!  When she left work she went to the bank and to mail a Pampered Chef order that came to her by mistake (should have been mailed to New Jersey!!).  Then she went by to see the grandma for a little bit before coming home for a nap.  She got up early so the guy could drop off her cleaned puter and so she could go have he hair done and deliver the rest of the Pampered Chef stuff to the ladies at the shop, andwhile she was there one of Stacies customers placed another order with the momma, so she now has to send out another e-mail asking her right around here friends to order some more stuff so she can get the rest of the things for her new kitchen (Crossing paws that they do!).  Then we went to the park!  Auntie Teri (Hula's momma) came over for dinner and coctails tonight and she brought the dad a bottle of his FAVORITE can't find it anymore Mango Martini mix!  The dad was SO happy, that he asked the momma to stop and buy some vodka when they went to go pick up Carmen's BBQ!  Boy does Carmen's have the bestest sauce!  The momma gave each of us girls a rib bone to gnaw on and it was yummy!!  The momma had margarita's and Auntie Teri had some kind of Rum Punch with dinner, then she tried the momma's Rita's (a mix she got from Pampered Chef - of course)!  After dinner the momma put together the stuff to make potato salad and cole slaw for our picnic with the hounds tomorrow!  By the time she went to bed she was beat!

Today we got up and packed our lunch and headed to San Francisco.  We went to Stern Grove to meet Kewpie and Lulu.  We arrived fashionably late (the momma blames the dad for taking forever in getting ready), but it was OK 'cuz Lulu's people got there right after we did!  We had a great walk!  Lots of sniffin and running!  About 1/4 of the way through, a new family joined our play group!  Ben and Donna brought 6 year old Scout to join us!  She is BEATIFUL with a deep mahogany and white coat!  We stopped at the picnic tables to get a drink and chat when another lady with anoher basset showed up looking for the momma!  Her name is Hariett and she is the foster momma for a 1-1/2 year old boy named Wally.  He was cute and super nice and he thought everyone was his friend (he didn't dislike anyone!)!  His F.M. told the momma that he had seen an orthopedist who took x-rays and told her that his elbows were growing at differnt rates and that he has mild hip displasia, so she is to limit his exercise.  But because she has stairs in her house, she's afraid that he's going to hurt himself worse, so she wants GGBR to find him a new foster/forever home!  She sai that the Milo Foundation who is his rescue is willing to give him over to GGBR, so the momma told her she would talk to Cindy thier foster coordinator about getting an e-mail plea sent out.  She also gave Harriett her e-mail address and told her to send her his bio and a picture.  Then we had a picnic!  I didn't care 'cuz I was looking for gophers, but Teddi and Sasha didn't stray too far from the table, so they got bites, but I didn't care 'cuz I was hunting!!  :-)

After the picnic, we headed home and all of us hounds took a nap.  The dad took his guitar to have it tuned up and restrung (the guys at Restoronics tightened his bridge(?) too much!?!?) and to have his car washed (guess he was jealous that our BUV was cleaner then his car!).  He brought home taco's from a taco truck near the car wash.  We got to have some of the momma's chicken in our dinners!  Yum!  Then the momma played on her puter all night trying to catch up on e-mails and facebook stuffs!  Patrick did e-mail her and answered all of her questions.  He told her that if she made the pantry bigger it would cost more and then she couldn't put the fridge next to it 'cuz then it would move the stove down next to the sink (not good).  The pictures that he sent today showed the ovens next to the door and a desk next to the fridge.  The fridge still isn't where the sink was, but I guess if they have to move pipes for the sink anyways, that it won't be that much more to move some to where the fridge is so we can have ice and water dispensers, right?!?  I guess that's something the momma will have to ask Patrick tomorrow 'cuz as it is I barely got to use it to type this 'cuz she was hogging it so much!  I had to wait until she had a margarita before she let me on!  Geesh!  How in the world am I supposed to keep my public aware of our exciting lives if she's hogging it all the time?!!?  Well, I guess the good news is that I'm finally able to and the letters aren't skipping nearly as much as they were before!!  Yay! I still have to proof read my stuff just to be sure, but it is WAY better!

We may go to the dog park tomorrow to meet our friend Higgs, but that is all that is planned for now.  Well, that and calling Auntie Terri and wishing her a Happy Birthday!!  :-)~   Hoping that this coming week is drama-free!  The momma has a busy month coming up, but mostly on the weekends, so stay tuned for those adventures!

In the mean time, that's all for now!  Thanks once again for the continued love and support!
Hugs!  <3 (BTW - does that look like a heart to you?!?!?)

Hello Friends!

This has been a boring week.  The momma AND the dad both yelled at Teddi on Monday night!  She had that shot on Saturday and now she thinks she's all better and she was running in the house!

Monday, the momma got up and went for a massage and chiropractic adjustment.  She said she felt like a limp noodle when they were done with her, so she came home, texted out friends that we couldn't come out to play and she went back to bed until dinner time!

Tuesday when the momma took her in for her 2nd shot, they asked how she was doing and the momma said "Too good!"!  And then they both went to the momma's nail appointment (she had her nails painted a dark purple!).  When they were done, they stopped by our house to see if Dave's crew was done with the asbestos abatement.  Except when they got there Andre' from down the street was standing in between Leo and Steve's house, so the momma stared to ask him what was going on when she saw smoke!!  Boy did THAT bring back some yucky memories and she started shaking!  She just couldn't believe that was happening so close to home and so soon!  She tried to get in the backyard to see what was burning, but she couldn't get the gate open.  When Chad came over, she asked him if he could hop the fence, so him and Andre' did!  Then the fire truck showed up and the momma told them that the gate was locked, so the first fireman kicked the gate down so they could bring the hose back there.  Turns out it wasn't their house, it was their back fence!!  Somehow it caught on fire and was starting to catch the behind them's neighbor's grass on fire, too!  Big Steve thinks kids were playing with matches, but we don't know for sure!  It sure shook the momma up, though!  My fireman wasn't on the truck that came to put out Leo's fence.  I'm glad 'cuz I wasn't there and I would have been sad to have missed him!

We ended up going to the park late, but we got to see our friends, so it was worth it except that Sasha got yelled at twice by a lady we'd never see before! She said that Sasha was biting her pitbull's face. The first time, the momma put Sasha on time-out until Dave told her that it was over a toy, so it wasn't really her fault, so the momma let her up. The 2nd time the lady yelled and told the momma she'd better keep an eye on her dog blah, blah blah so the momma yelled back, so they gathered up the pitty with a huge chain and left. When they were walking out, she said something about calling the city and we think she did 'cuz they walked around outside the park for a long time while she was on the phone to someone, and then they left. About 5 minutes later, a police car drove by, and the momma raised her hand to show him she was the one they called him about, but he didn't even slow down! Josh said that they probably just laughed at her when she told them that a basset puppy was attacking her pit bull! The momma said it's because they don't know Sasha - she thinks she's a pit sometimes!! After she started a fight with another new dog, the momma made us go home! She thinks that Sasha had too much energy pent up from not going to the dog park in 3 whole days! We'll see how she behaves tomorrow... Since we left a little early, the momma cooked the pepper steak that she had been marinating for 3 days! We got to have a taste and boy was it yummy!!

Wednesday, the momma was supposed to go to the knee doctor, so she got up early and took a shower.  While she was soaking her head, his nurse called up and left the momma a message saying that he was in surgery and they had to reschedule until Monday!  So, the momma went down to Gala Bakery to pick up the cupcakes for work.  She hit traffic, so it took her 45 minutes to get there, but only 25 to get home.  We did make it to the park on time, though, so that was good!  Dave told her that they were done with the clean up an that we passed the air inspection, so the momma called up Doug, our construction guy, and told him the good news!  He told the momma that we have a different project manager.  They chose him over Bruce 'cuz he worked in our area so he could pay close attention to our house when the work started.  He also told her that they were meeting at our house at 11am on Thursday to do the final measurements if she wanted to join them and meet the new guy.  She said she would try.

Thursday, the momma worked late 'cuz of meetings and then she got up early to go meet our construction guys!  She got there about 11:30 'cuz she didn't hear her alarm, but the new project manager was already gone and Doug was just putting the keys back in the lock box!  Turns out they got there early.  Doug did go back in with the momma and they checked out the house together.  All the carpet is gone!  The momma didn't think about that until later, but we thought they were going to clean the carpets in the rest of the house?!?!?  We'll have to e-mail Doug later and ask him!  Anyways, the momma said that the house looks SO big with none of our junk in there!  The hardwood floors look good in the rest of the bedrooms, so she may want to think about sealing them and leaving them alone since us girls don't go in those rooms (well, except for our bedroom!)?!?  Something to think about!

They took part of the ceiling from the living room down and there isn't one in the kitchen any more.  The only thing left in the kitchen is the old tile floor that the momma and dad put down when they first moved in (before any of us girl were born!!) and some of the super old tiles that was down when they first bought our house!  BOY was that stuff ugly!  They think its from the 70's!  The momma told Doug a couple of things that she was thinking for the kitchen, like moving the sink in front of the window, moving the fridge to where the sink was and making the window smaller so we could put cabinets in front of it.  She also asked him if the wall that was behind the fridge was a load bearing wall or could they take it out?  He told her that it WAS a load bearing wall, and if they wanted to move it at all, they would have to pay for an engineer to come in and that could be quite expensive, so they'll have to leave that wall alone!!  Then Doug told the momma that with all of her changes and additions, that it would probably cost the momma and dad about $5,000.  The momma thought that was great and Doug was happy, too!

Then the kids from across the street came over!  They couldn't believe how big the house looked, too!  Then their gram came over and and she was looking in the house, too and her and the momma caught up a little.   When they went outside, Johanna and Jacob came over so they had to go see inside, too!  The momma didn't get home until 1pm!!  She had a quick nap  and then Donn and her 2 basset girls came over so they could talk about a rescue calendar they are going to try to put together for GGBR!!  I think Sasha and I can be in it since we are both GGBR alumni!! Then it was off to the park!  I am happy to report that Sasha did not start a single fight today!!  AND that our friend Jess showed up with her human Michael, who just got his license yesterday AND Auntie Susan and Kewpie were at the big dog park passing out carrots!  I spit mine out 'cuz they weren't cooked, but Sasha and Teddi, Frisky, Jess and Meeka all liked them!  When we left, the momma stopped by and picked up  pizza at Centerville Round Table so she didn't have to cook!

Today, the momma had a bunch of appointments scheduled!  She actually got home before the dad left for work for a change (that was a first!)!  She didn't eat last night 'cuz she knew that she had to take a blood test this afternoon, but when she woke up at 12pm, she didn't feel very good, so she went early so she could hurry up and eat something!  She felt MUCH better when she did!  Jason from Resteronics came over to check out the momma's laptop.  He doesn't know why it skips letters when she is typing,so he wants to take it one day next week for the day and clean it out to see if that will help!   She sure hope so 'cuz having to type things over an over is driving us crazy!!  That's also the reason why i looks like i can't type sometimes - its the puter not my thick paws!! :-)

So anyways - the momma had 2 other doctor's appointments and then Teddi had to get her 3rd shot and the momma remembered that we were almost out of dog food (heaven forbid!), so she called Auntie Sandy to see how much longer she was going to be open.  She said she'd wait for us!  SO we went and dropped Teddi off to get stuck in the leg and while they were doing that, the momma went and bought us food - Bison and Venison this time!  Last time it was lamb, but Sasha seemed super finicky on it, but I digress... so when everyone is back in the BUV we head over to the Niles Community Park to help setup for tomorrow's dog show!  We LOVE helping to setup 'cuz we get to run off-leash!!  Well, we DID until Sasha let a chihuahua chase her WAY far away!!  The momma was so mad at her, that she made all 3 of us sit in the BUV and wait for her to finish!!  BAD SASHA!!

So on the way home, the momma had to stop and buy pancake batter for the morning!  Turns out the guy that promised her to donate Batter Blaster back in March, left the company and forgot to mention us to anyone else!!  Their nearest plant is in Newbury Park down by L.A., which is just a 5-1/2 hour drive ONE WAY from us!  They promised to donate next year, though!  Oh, good!!  That will help us a LOT tomorrow!!  OK, momma, I'll quit whining!!  Sheesh!!

After the store it was home for dinner and to play on the puter!  We have to leave here at 7am so we can go pick up the old neighbor kids!!  Destiny, Marie and Johnathon will all be coming with us!  Yay!!  The Gram and pops are supposed to drive up for the day, too and Auntie Terri is supposed to come over the hill just to see us girls!! The momma said we're all going to dinner afterward!!  What!?!??  Just the 2-leggers?!?!?  Fine!!  Just be sure to bring home some leftovers!  Sheesh!!

Well friends, that's it for tonight!  Thanks once again for the continued love and support!!  Hugs!

Hello friend!

Today, the momma got up super early, but she doesn't know why.  She was trying to catch up on her e-mails when Auntie Terri called.  She was taking cousin Nicky and Sara to the airport so they can go to Hawaii!  She asked the momma if she wanted to meet for breakfast at Stack's after she dropped them off in San Francisco.  Good thing she was on speaker phone 'cuz she was supposed to be taking them to San Jose!!  The momma told her to get 101 South and it will take them right there and she was right - they were only about 6 exits away and they arrived ahead of time!!  So, the momma suggested they meet at Scrambles instead 'cuz it was on the way back to Auntie Terri's house, so that's what they did!  The met, they talked, they ate and got super full and then Auntie Terri had to go clean out her classroom and the 2nd grade classroom so she could move her class, so they had to leave.  The momma brought dad some food, and she brought us her leftovers, so we forgave her for leaving us!

The rest of the day we pretty much laid around until we went to the Fremont Dog Park to meet Hula and or other Auntie Teri!  Sasha and hula played and played for just about a full hour!  When we left, the momma surprised us girls by taking us to meet Auntie Susan and Kewpie at Sonic!  Turns out today was National Ice Cream Day, so the momma bought us a cone to share and she bought one for Kewpie!  It was SO good, but it didn't agree with me, and I threw up all over the back of the momma's BUV!!  The momma took a picture of me and Sasha sharing before I got sick.
Check it out...

Teddi got a couple of licks but she preferred the cone, so the momma saved it for her!  Auntie Susan thought it was AWESOME that Teddi made the momma bring her the ice cream cone to try!  Why wouldn't she?  She IS the princess after all!  ;-)

Well - that was our day!  Wasn't it great?!?!?  We thought so!!   But that's all for now!  Will write more when it happens!  Until then, thanks again for all the love and support!!  Hugs!

Hello friends!

Today, the momma got up and loaded the BUV with a gajillion boxes so they can stuff goody bags for next weekends Niles Dog Show.  Then she ad Teddi went to Close Feed and Supply to get another gajillion boxes of Taste of the Wild samples and they went to the stuffing pawty!  Teddi  made out like a bandit 'cuz they had extra Bright Bites so she got one.  Then a little dog that was there didn't eat his so Teddi had that one, too!

When they left there, they went to see Dr. Young.  She was going to show the momma how to do a Jones Wrap to help stabilize Teddi's knee 'cuz the momma does NOT want her to have surgery!  They got Teddi's leg all wrapped up, but she walked like a pirate and Dr. Young was afraid she would hurt her hip walking like that, so they took it off and decided to give Teddi Adaquin injections.  They are a glucosomine shot to help he joints.  She will get 2 a week for 4 weeks and then once a month.

So, the instructions are to keep her from running, and as long as she don't we can take her with us to the dog park!  Yay!  That means that I can go back to the dog park, too!!  Just not today...

The momma spent the rest of the day doing laundry and picking up dog hair from around the house!

Just another boring day at our right now house!  Will write more when it happens!  In the mean time, thanks again for the continued love and support!!  Hugs!!

Hello friends!

Some peoples think that today is a scary day, but the momma doesn't think so! She likes the number 13!!  She actualy got 3-1/2 hours sleep when she got home today and then went out to run all of her errands.

She finally returned the empty keg from the pawty so she could get her deposit back.  Then she went to Dr. P's office to pay for the super extra neat glasses that she just ordered on Wednesday.  They told her that because they were so special they would take up to 20 days to get back here. :-(  Then she went to the grandma's house to return her table and chairs so she can setup her stuff for  next weekends garage sale.

When she left there, she headed over to our house to see if the box with the goody bags for the Niles Dog Show (next Saturday) arrived yet!  She hoped so 'cuz they are supposed to stuff them tomorrow!  On the way to our house, she calls Gina at the Odle Group to verify when they were sent and where.  Gina told the momma that they were delivered to our house on June 15, 2012 at 4:51pm and were left on our front porch.  UH OH!!  That was 5 days afte our fire!!  Where could they be!?!  We had gone by our house after we went to Point Isabel that Saturday and there wasn't any box on the porch then!  Not good!  Then the neighbor Steve comes over and momma asks him about them.  He said no, he'd only seen the one box with the wi-fi stick for momma's puter, but he called her for that weeks ago!  Then he reminded the momma that the day we were waiting for the polic to show up to write a report about the break-in, Kathy told the momma that someone left a box with Niles Dog Show bags behind her truck.  The momma thought she just meant 3 or 4 bags so she didn't think any more about it until now, so now she goes running 5 houses down and asks Kathy if she still has those bags.  She says yes, they're in the shed and she brings out a box with all 150 of them!!  What GREAT neighbors we have, huh?!?!  So, the day before stuffing, the goody bags are found!!  YAY!!

So then the momma goes to the beauty shop where Auntie Dee works to collect her order for the momma's Pampered Chef pawty (she's trying to replace the stuff we lost in the fire).  And great news, 3 other ladies placed orders, too!

And when she got home, the dad was already there 'cuz he went in early today, so the momma told him that since he was home, she was going to take me with her and Sasha to the dog park, but the dad didn't want Teddi to have to stay home again, so he said he'd come with and keep her on a leash to make sure she didn't run or jump or anything, so they cam with us, too!

Auntie Susan and Kewpie showed up a little after we did and she had Charlie Bears in her pocket!!  She was SO heartbroken when Teddi wouldn't eat any, but Sasha and I made her feel better by eating her share!

When we left, we stopped by the grandma's house so the dad could move his Harley closer to the wall so that grandma would have more room for her garage sale.  Auntie Terry was there, too, so they left us kids in the car while they went inside!  The were gone FOREVER and we were starving to death,so I told Sasha to grab the bag of treats the momma has hidden behind her seat.  She just couldn't get the darn bag open, and next thing we know, here come the momma and the dad and she's busted!!  I tried to look extra innocent, but the momma saw right through that!

After dinner, the momma spent like a nickzillion hours on the puter trying to order some special things for Christmas presents.  The dad tried to get her to wait until she had a nap, but the momma said NO - it has to be done tonight 'cuz they expire today, so the dad was smart and left her alone!

When she was done she was pooped!!  And she has to get up early tomorrow to pick up some Taste of the Wild samples at the feed store, and then they're supposed to stuff goody bags for next weekend!  So we're off to bed!!  I'll write more when it happens!  Thanks again for the continued love and support!!  Hugs!

Hello friends!

When the momma came home from work today, there was a message from Dr. Gill saying there was a problem and Teddi can't wear the knee brace after all.  She called and he told her that the guy at the brace place said that her leg was not long enough.

Mom didn't like that answer, so she called and talked to the guy herself.  He told her that Teddi would need a small brace, but they only go up to 8" for the thigh size, but Teddi's is 14"!  He said that if they went up to size 1 to make it fit her thigh, then it would be too long and rub against her groin and her ankle and it would not be comfortable, not to mention they couldn't guarantee it would work the same so he couldn't sell it to us. :-(  He did tell the momma that there are places out there that make hard braces by taking a cast of the leg and she could learn to do something called a Johns wrap (maybe not) where they put cast padding on her leg and cover it with that stretchy bandage stuff from the vet to make a figure 8 and hold the knee in place.  She's going to ask our vet to show her how to do that 'cuz she does NOT want to do surgery on Teddi!!

We then went to bed 'cuz the dad was already at work (Yay!) and we all got to sleep with the momma!  She had to lift Teddi and me up, but Sasha jumped up on her own!  About 1:30 she jumped out of bed and almost screamed 'cuz someone was opening up our bedroom door.  I guess she didn't hear the dad pull up or open the garage door or anything.  He came home for lunch to change shirts 'cuz his was so wet from how hot it was at his work!

She told him that she had stopped at Wally World on the way home and bought us a new Smokey Joe BBQ so we can have steaks for dinner tonight and she told him the bad news about Teddi's brace.

When he went back to work, we weren't sure we were going to be able to go back to sleep, but the next thing we knew, the momma's alarm went off and it was time to get ready to go to the dog park.  She made the dad some sweet tea and seasoned the steaks and then she and Sasha left and I had to stay here and keep an eye on Teddi again 'cuz now that there is carpet, she thinks she feels better!

The dad ate his pb&j when he got home, so when the momma and Sasha came home, he wasn't hungry, so instead of steaks & baked potatoes today, she made herself a hamburger on the new grill.  Then the dad decided that he was a little bit hungry, so he cooked some hot dogs on the grill.  Can you believe that we didn't get a single knibble!?!?  The nerve!

Today they were supposed to go by the house and start throwing out all the stuff left there - the couches, matresses, the curio cabinet that got burned and hopefully all the crap in the kitchen (well, y'all saw the pictures, thats what it looks like, right?!?!?).  Tomorrow they start demo of the kitchen and the asbestos abatement.  One step closer to getting back home!!

Well - that's it for today.  I'm too upset about not getting bites to write any  more!  Woe is me!! (sighs deeply!)!

Have a great night and we'll type more as it comes up.  Thanks again for the continued love and support!!  Hugs!

Hello friends!

The momma went to Home Depot last night and got a couple rolls of carpet that they had left over and brought it home so that Teddi won't slip on the laminate floors any more.  It was garbage night, so she didn't have time to roll it out, so she left it for the dad.  When she got home today, it was all rolled out and didn't look too bad either (Good job dad!)!

This morning the momma took Teddi in to be measured for her knee brace.  Dr. Gill will order it today and when it comes in, we all get to go with, but only 'cuz we all need our shots! :-(

We got some really good news this morning!!  The dad gets to go back to dayshift!!  He's only working half a night tonight so he can be there at 9am!  We'll get to have dinner with him at dinner time and not at lunch time from now on!  YEAH!!

The momma got a little sleep and then went to pick out  new glasses.  She said the ones she's wearing are 2 years old and getting blurrier every day (is that a word?!?!).  Dr. P has this new machine that is supposed to map your eye balls so that your glasses are made just special for you.  Anyways, she can't wait to get them.

Afterwards, she went back to our house and was going through the stuff they were going to throw out!  She got some of the dad's guitar books and a video tape of when he was able to drive on the racetrack at Sonoma.  She also saved a whole bag of stuffed animals that she's going to as the restoration company to give to the dry cleaning company!  She found a doggy angel that had survived the fire, but is full of soot and smoke.  She took it with her saying that it survived the fire, it needed to come home and let us protect it this time!  She also saved an umbrella and a walking penguin on a stick (don't ask me...).

The momma then came home and took Sasha to the dog park today and left me at home with Teddi so I could baby sit her.  It was super easy 'cuz all she did was lie around, but I really wanted to go with the momma and Sasha.

Do y'all know what today is?  July 11th!  Why is that significant you ask... 'cuz today they give out free slurpee's at all 7-11 stores!!  The momma went to the one in Niles and got a cherry one this morning and then on the way to the dog park tonight, she stopped at the one by our right now house and got a coke one!  She even let Sasha take a couple of licks, but she told me that she likes the cherry slurpee better than the coke one!

Well, this is one of the shortes posts ever, but those were the hilights from today.  Y'all have a great night and we'll keep you posted!  Thanks once again for all the love and support!  Hugs!

Hello friends!

Today, the Sasha and me gots into BIG trouble!!  It wasn't our fault!  It was the dumb momma's but we got the blame!

After work last night, she stopped and went grocery shoppin.  Picked out all kinds of yummy things to have for dinnes for the week.  For today, she bought one of those already cooked chickens.

She then went on the puter to check out a website for a doggy knee brace (www.woundwear.com).  She is now totally excited that the Teddi won't need to have surgery 'cuz she wants to try this on her first.  She called the otho doc who is out of town until the 18th, but they'd never heard of it  She the called Dr. Gill to see if he would check out Teddi's x-rays to measure her leg for the brace.  He's going to look at the website and call us tomorrow.

Now she starts supper.  She going to make Mashed Taters and gravy to go wih the chicken.  Everythings almost ready and that's right... No tater masher and No flour for the gravy!!

So she goes across the street and borrows both from Joy!  Boy is she nice!

Well, while she was gone, I talked Sasha into reaching up on the counter and knocking down the paper plate with the cut up chicken on it!  BOY did we get into trouble, but it was SO worth it!!

Well, the momma hardly talked to us the rest of the day except to tell us that if we were hungry, then we  had to eat dry dog food!  She did throw some taters and chiken broth on it, but sh didn't do i out of lve, so we didnt eat! That'll show her, huh!?!?

Well, I'm going to go sulk and wait for her to leave for work before I eat!

Have a great night and thanks again for the contined love and support!  Hugs!!

Saturday, July 7, 2012

Today started out nice and quiet, all-be-it early!  The momma and the dad took us girls to a place called Crab Cove in Alameda to check it out for possible future play dates, etc...  Well, it cost $5 to park and then us girls had to stay on-leash (just about pulled the momma's arms out of their sockets!) AND they don't allow dogs on the beach!  Except for it being pretty and having lots of squirrels, I don't think we'll be coming back.

Went by the house today so the dad could get his battery tender and his motorcycle cover out of the garage.  Then we went over to grandma's to put them on the Harley.  When we got home we just laid around all day while dad took his car out for a test drive after the momma got him new brakes and rotors Thursday.

Sometime during the race at Daytona, the Teddi was acting like she was in a LOT of pain.  Of course all of our vets were closed (at least they didn't answer their phones), so the momma gave her a baby asprin and put an ice pack on her hip and gave her a massage.  It seemed to work for a little while, but then she started shaking and panting and the momma said that meant she was in a lot of pain and they took her to the emergency doctors.

$420, a shot and an x-ray later they were told that Teddi had a torn ACL and needed surgery.  They gave her some pain meds to take at home and told them they needed to find a surgeon right away and that it should cost between $1500-$4000!!

Our friend Kodi from the dog park had that done.  His momma took him to UC Davis, so the momma will be calling them in the morning.  So, we need everyone to say a prayer for her so that she recovers quickly!  They are saying about 2 months of bed rest.  Its going to kill her to stay home while we go to the dog park, but it will probably injur her leg more if we take her with!!  And Sasha will drive us all crazy if she doesn't get to go out and run with her friends every day!!  Not to mention that the momma is out of vacation, so if/when she does have surgery, she won't be able to stay home with her at all!  Poor Teddi!!  :-(

Boy has this been a rough year!!  First I was diagnosed with glaucoma and a week later they had to take my eye because they couldn't control the pressure!  Then the house caught on fire and we had to move to the right now house while they put it back together and now this!  Ok -I think that's enough for one year, don't y'all?!?!?  My goodness!!

Well, I think I'll head to bed and try to stay out of trouble!  I hope it helps!! :-)

Thanks once again for all the love and support!  Hugs!

Just a couple of boring days around here!  We think they got most of the momma & dad's stuff out of our house, except for the stuff that is being scrapped.  Hoping the electronics guys came and picked up the rest of dads stuff, but they close at 3pm, so the momma didnt get to talk to them (who closes at 3pm these days?!?!? Sheesh!) Guess they'll start on the kitchen tear-down on Monday with the Asbestos Abatement team.  The contractors can't do anything until the kitchen is cleared of all the icky stuff!  The momma has to call them and ask them why there isn't a spot on the job bid for a new fridge!  She KNOWS the one in our kitchen isn't any good any longer (she has pictures as proof!)!  Guess that will have to wait until Monday, too!

Still went to the dog park yesterday and today.  Dad went with yesterday!  Bet he wished he didn't, though... When Sasha got out of the BUV she saw Layla getting out of her dad's truck, and she rushed to go see her friend.  The momma was still holng her leash behind the BUV so her leash got stuck INSIDE the momma's right quarter-panel!! Dave (Layla's dad) and our dad had to take the whole truck apart to get it out!  OK, mom - I'll stop zagerating!!  It was just the one quarter-panel!  Anyways - it was a good thing that Dave had tools in his work truck!!

Tonight was pretty boring, too.  Kind of nice when nothing is going on!  Lots of naps and such!!

This weekend should be kinda fun... the momma AND the dad are taking us to something called Crab Cove in Alameda.  Supposed to be a nice park with beach access for the bay. We're going to check it out to see if it is someplace we'd like to invite our friends to go to for one of our monthly jaunts (3rd Saturday of the month if anyone's interested in joining us)!

Sunday is the monthly meetup at Drigon.  We hope lots of our friends, especially Penelope Pitstop (aka: Penny) joins us!  Look for pictures from the momma next week on Snapfish!

Speaking of Snapfish, the momma downloaded about 110,000 pictures (OK - there's only 110!) from the GGBR waddle on Wednesday. This is the link (I hope) if you want to see some gorgeus hounds:
http://www1.snapfish.com/snapfish/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=5691100015/a=1035946_1035946/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/ !!  There is a really good one of me smiling before the parade started and then another of me sleeping on the ride home (just to name 2 of my favorites!)!

Well, that's it for today! Will report in after the weekend.  Until then we hope our friends stay cool during the heatwave back east and down south!!

Thanks once again for the continued love and support (and for reading my Blog!!)!!  Hugs!

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

Happy 4th of July everyone!

We had a great day!  We all got up at 6am and were in Novato by 8:10am.  There was a little chill when we left the house, but it was already nice out by the time we got to Marion Field to setup for the picnic so the momma took her sweatshirt off right away.

The momma's cousin Danelle and her daughter Virginia joined us.  Turns out that she works with the momma's friend Sandee (Drac & Sophee's momma), so Sandee told her to join us!  How nice was that!?!?  They walked Teddi & I in the parade, but more about that later!

The momma was in charge of the raffle tables, so she brought all the stuff that we took up over to where they were setting up the tables and the dad set up an x-pen so they could have thier hands free to do other things.  Sasha did NOT like being in there.  I didn't either, but I didn't make a ruckus like she did!!  BOY the kid can bark!!  Mercy!

The dad did triple-duty today - he drove the shuttle van, bringing people and hounds from the park to the front of the parade route; then he drove the Pooped Pup Truck in case there were any hounds that couldn't make the 10 blocks and then he and Sandee took the hay back and dropped off the truck and trailer at Gloria's work so she can take it back tomorrow.  For those of you who don't know, Gloria is also called Madame President 'cuz she's the one that started GGBR nearly 100 years ago (OK, back in the 90's).

We caught the other shuttle back to the front and we found our friends Bentley and Riley and Little B the wannabe.  Riley LOVES Teddi!  They've known each other forever, so it was great seeing them and their parents Sam and Lynda!  The momma helped find the Queen so they could make sure she'd fit in the carriage that Mike and Lina brought for them (it is SO cool!  Looks like a horse-less carriage, and it is, but it's pedal powered, not motorized.  Can't remember what the momma called it besides awesome!  She talked to a bunch of people she hadn't seen in a long time.  Lots of people wanted to know how things were going so there was a lot of talk about ME! :-)

When it was close to our turn in the parade, the momma got everyone's attention by talking super loud and telling them what we were going to do.  Madame President may need a bullhorn, but the momma sure doesn't!!  Good thing she's not shy!! :-)

So in the parade, Danelle walked Teddi and Virginia walked me and the momma walked Sasha - or should I say that Sasha pulled the momma in the parade!!  She kept criss crossing back and forth across the street and back and I didn't miss a single move!  We may have been a tad behind them, but I never let them out of my sight!!  All in all it was a great parade!  The weather was perfect, maybe 85 or so, but nothing like last year (thank doG!)!  We all made it to the end without having to stop and rest along the way (although when we caught up to the group in front of us, we did find a shady spot and laid down for about 30 seconds, but we were back up and walking as soon as they started moving again!)  BTW - the momma made up for last Saturday by taking nearly a nickzillion pictures!  She said she'll get them downloaded as soon as she gets back to work 'cuz thats where she has the cable to link the camera to the computer.  Yes, she should have brought it home, but just remember that she IS blonde once in a while!! :-)

After the parade, the momma put Sasha and I in the x-pen and Danelle let Teddi do whatever she wanted (she kept saying well, she is the princess after all!  Sheesh!!).  Then the momma got to set up the raffle prizes.  They only had 29 containers to hold raffle tickets and a WHOLE lot more prizes, so the momma combined a bunch of things together to make the prizes AWESOME!!

Everyone had hot dogs for lunch.  They are the nice big Schwartz Sausage dogs that the momma found thanks to Auntie Terri!  Mr. Schwartz has been helping the rescue out for the past couple of years by giving us the dogs at a discount 'cuz we're a 501-c-3!!  They are SO tasty - at least that's what I remember 'cuz none of us got a single bite this year!  That's what happens when the momma doesn't eat breakfast I guess.  At the end of the day, we were told that GGBR made $550 just from selling lunch!! Woo Hoo!!

Then Gloria passed out these neat doghouse clocks with basset hounds in them to some special people that help out the rescue a LOT!!  Unfortunately, that was when the momma was eating, so I didn't hear who they all were.  I know Nancy and Judy got one and so did the Madden's, but that's all I heard.

Then it was time for the raffle.  The momma won a couple of things, like the basset hound slippers that she wanted SO bad!  They will probably be too big for her square feet, but she doesn't care - she just wanted something to wear around the right now house since it doesn't have any carpets!  She also won a foo-foo smelling gift basket; the Nordic Naturals gift basket (its really a Nordic house, not a basket, but you get the idea); a box of Brite Bites Dental Chews (YUM!) and the weirdest thing of all, a bubble gun with bacon scented bubbles!!  She wants to take it to Drigon to see what Layla and Higgs do with the bubbles!  Our friends, Mike, Lina  and JoAnn's grandkids made out like bandits winning nearly everything else there was to win.  OK - not everything... Humphrey's parents won a couple of things, too!!  There was only one thing that wasn't claimed, but we'll just save it for another time!

They told us that I came in 3rd for most money raised, so I won't be queen of the parade next year.  That's OK, we'll try again next year!  At least the money we raised (over $1000 so thanks to everyone who sponsored me!!) will go help save more basset hounds from shelters and get them healthy enough to find a forever home of their own!!  THAT's the most important thing!

Then it was time to clean up.  The momma helped take the canopy's down, folded up the banners and packed up the prizes that people brought today so they can put them back in storage.  We didn't get to stay to put the canopy's away or load up the van 'cuz by then the momma was limping pretty good!  Her knee held up pretty good, but by the end it was throbbing and swollen :-(

It was a good thing the dad drove - the momma was talking one minute and the next her head was bobbing!  The dad is SO jealous on how quick she can fall asleep.  He says that she must be part basset hound 'cuz she can sleep just about anywhere and in nano-seconds!!

What a glorious day!!  Now that we've all eaten dinner, everyone is laying around and napping.  I think I'm going to join them as long as the neighbors quit lighting off the fire crackers!!

Happy 4th of July everyone!  Keep you pets safe and away from loud fireworks if you can!

Thanks once again for all the love and support (and especially if you sent in your cookie money to try to help me be queen!!  Mmmwah (thats a big kiss!)!!)  Hugs!

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012

Well, I was right!  Neither the momma or the dad were upright very much on Sunday after the pawty!  They got up and ate and laid on the couch all day long.  Finally when the sun was going down, the momma went out and washed the tables so she could put them in her BUV and the dad helped her take down the canopy and put that in her BUV, but they never made it to the storage!  The momma said she had to go and meet Addy there on Monday anyways, so why make 2 trips!  Sure! ;-)

On Monday, the momma met Addy at the storage after work and they pulled almost everything out to find the stuff that they'll need for the waddle.  They have a lot of nice things in there that people have donated, but it got all mixed up, so out it all came!  When they put it back, they tried to keep them in piles for the different events coming up - Waddle up front; The yard sale in September and Howl at the Moon and Whine in October.  She didn't get home until 11am!!  Good thing she slept all Sunday!!

Monday afternoon, Lloyd from Diamond Pet Foods came by and, although they didn't have samples of Taste of the Wild for the waddle goody bags, he did bring 4-15 pound bags for the raffle and boxes of Brite Bites that the momma can put in the goody bags as people pick them up after the parade!!  He also brought the same thing for the Niles Dog Show!  The momma has decided that it is VERY nice to be able to use the garage to store these boxes and not the dining room!! :-)  She may have to talk to her friend EJ about putting in a new garage door opener when we move back home!   When Lloyd left, we went to the park to meet our friends and then picked up a pizza at Centerville Round Table!  Now, most of the Round Tables are good, but Centerville Round Table is the BEST!!  The momma put some of the crust and stuff that she doesn't like (salami and italian sausage) in our dinners!  Life is good!

On Tuesday, the momma worked late (meeting Tuesday, so we're used to it).  Then the new mailman brought a box of Nordic Naturals for the Niles Dog Show and woke the momma up before her alarm so she only got 2 hours sleep, (but she's getting used to that!!)!!

They had a meeting with Doug from Paul David our new construction company at our old house at 1:15pm.  The dad just HATES being in the house right now!  It makes him feel all icky inside and he has a hard time breathing!  The momm says it still smells SO bad!!  Especially in the kitchen and breakfast nook!!  The Restoration company had a couple hundred boxes in the driveway that they pulled out of the attic.  We can't wait until they are all done and we can get a final count of all the boxes they took out of our house!  Teddi says it will be 800.  I think 700.  Sasha says 1500 (she exaggerates like the momma!)!  The winner gets an extra treat before the momma goes to work.

They still have some big things that need to be taken out of the house, but the momma thinks that most of those things will have to be thrown out - the curio cabinet that held all the basset crap that got kinda burnt; the couch, recliner, mattresses that smell SO much like smoke, etc...  They also had a huge pile of the dad's stereo stuff from his room and the bedroom that the guys from Restronics still need to pick up.  I guess they've been too busy, or they don't have a big enough warehouse to store all the dad's stuff!! LOL!! I crack myself up sometimes!  :-)

So the4 if them had to go through each room and kind of go over the bid packet.  It has every room listed out as to how much carpet and paint they need (2 coats or whatever) and what they are going to fix or replace along with a dollar amount and is 25 pages long!  Just the structure stuff (including appliances for the kitchen, but not the refrigerator for whatever reason) comes to over $63,000!!  YIKES!!  I can't wait to see how much the contents will cost 'cuz the momma had all kinds of boks that I'm sure they won't be able to save and a gazillion Pampered Chef tools in her kitchen, not to mention all the cookie cutters and doggie cookbooks for making the treats for our pawty's!!  I  only mention that 'cuz my 11th birthday is coming up in October, and she'll need to bake for all of our friends!!  Maybe she'll have it at at our right now house in our mini-dog park, but I digress....

So since they were there, the momma started talking to Doug and Bruce (our new project manager) and telling them that she wants to move the kitchen around and maybe take the screen room off the back of the house to make more room for us kids to play and that they want them to patch any holes they find ('cuz she heard some companies won't unless you tell them to) and paint the whole outside of the house, not just the front.  They took notes and said that those things cost more and that the momma and the dad would have to pay for that kind of stuff, but the momma says that if you're going to paint part of the house, you SHOULD paint the whole house so you don't look like a redneck and if you're going to have to tear the kitchen apart, you might as well put it back the way that the momma wants ('cuz you know what they say... if momma aint happy, then NO ONE is happy!!), right!?!?!? :-)

On the way home, they went to a little BBQ place up the road from the right now house called Carmen #3 BBQ.  They got the 4-meat plate with extra potato salad and baked beans.  Everything was SOOOOO good!!  They both shared the plate for lunch, and then the momm pigged out and ate the rest for dinner!!  They want to recommend it to all of their nearby friends who are looking for good BB!!! They asked them how long they've been there and they guy said "19 years!"  How in the world have they missed this place for that long?!?!?  One more good thing to come out of us having to move for a little while! :-)

The momma then went and had her nails done in red, white and blue for tomorrow and came home and took us girls to the Fremont dog park since we missed our play date with our friends.  We didn't play - only Skye was there, and he wasn't playing either.  They watered the yards so no fireworks will set the right now house on fire and then loaded up the BUV with the stuff that we need to take with us to the waddle tomorrow!  Next thing we know - it's 9:30pm!  No wonder the momma is SO tired!!  She went to bed, but both her and the dad were wide awake by 1am so they got up and had ice cream.  Us girls are just looking at them like they are crazy - don't y'all know you got to get up in a couple of hours?!?!  Can you say caffeine for tomorrow?!?!?

Well - it's now 3:30am so I best tell her to go lie down for a couple of hours (don't want her being a bear tomorrow!) What - uh, No, momma!  I wasn't saying you get grumpy when you get tired (or hungry - smiles and wags tail)!!  You must be over tired and misheard me!!

Nevermind!  Night, night all!  Will report in after the waddle!!  Wish me luck in being crowned the queen for next year!  It's not looking promising - right now, I've only collected a little over $900 which is GREAT for the rescue, but probably not enough to win!  A valiant effort was made neverless (not bad though, for only 3 weeks fundraising, huh!?!?)  Wish me luck, anyways!!

Sleep well my friends and thanks again for the continued love and support!!  Hugs!!

Saturday, June 30, 2012

Hello friends!

Today is the big pawty!!  I can tell 'cuz the momma and the dad both got up early on a SATURDAY!  The dad went and ran some errands that he needed (did y'all know that some Wally World's close at night?!?!?  They didn't either!)  Anyways - when he got back, she went out and did her errands and then they setup the deck with a canopy and chairs and tables for drinks and foods!

At exactly 1pm our first guests arrived - Al and Joyce.  They brought the momma gifts which she opened later after everyone had gone home.  Joyce helped the momma put some food stuffs out - chips and crackers and dips and such. Then more and more people came and some brought our dog friends.  By the time it was over, we had 50 people and 12 dogs show up just to see us!!  The momma made a list so I wouldn't forget anybody.  She also put them alphabetical order and not by order of appearance like the sometimes do on the TV, so here they are:
Al and Joyce
Amy and Melinda wih Wellington (also known by Worm on his blog)
Bob and Judy
Diane (aka: Auntie Dee)
Danny and Roni (One set of the momma's god-parents - nevermind, its a long story)
Dave
Galen
Gloria and Michael (the momma's other godmomma)
Jacob, Sue, Rosie, Johanna and baby Lidia (we didn't count her 'cuz she didn't eat anything since she's only just turning 5 months old!) with Frankie
Joy with Cybil (she's our newest neighbor from across the street from our right now house)
Kathy and Jack with Max and Sadie
Laurie and Damien with Higgs
The momma's mom and pops with Katie
Ron with Meeka
Sandee, Bear and Eden with Dracula and Sophee
Uncle Scott, Aunt Wendy and Sarah
Cousin Shannon, Katie and Jason
Stacie
Uncle Steve and Aunt Janis
Steve and Jen (they did the BBQing!! YAY!)
Susan with Kewpie
Teresa with Cassie
Aunie Terri, Cousin Nick and Sara
Auntie Terry
And last, but not least, Uncle Trevor, Tylor, Brayden and Brodie

In case you couldn't tell, and's mean another person and with is their dog's name(s)!  Anyways -a good time was had by all, except that the momma felt like she didn't spend enough time with anyone - just a few minutes here and there, but not much!

Just before people started to go home, Bear told the momma that this was the first time that he'd ever seen her without her camera!  That's right - the momma was so wrapped up in making sure everyone got introduce and something to eat and drink that she didn't take a single picture!!  I sure hope she's not like that at the waddle!!  People want to see pictures of me and my sisters waddling and milking the crowd for pets!!

Everyone brought something to eat, either a side dish or dessert and it all looked yummy, but the momma tried to make sure that only people were up on the deck where the food was, but some people came down to the mini-dog park that is our right now yard to sit in the shade and make sure the other dogs behaved ('cuz you know that neithe Teddi or myself would cause any problems!!)!!

The momma's friend Lupe made a homemade cheesecake that didn't last long!  Joy from across the street made a cheesecake pie that the momma fell in love with and needs the recipe for!!  Godmomma Roni brought a flag cake from Gala Bakery (YUM!)!  It had whipped cream on top, a corner filled with blueberries and rows of sliced strawberries to make a flag!!  Boy did that look good (that was the dad's favorite!!)  Auntie Wendy brought a Triple Chocolate cake that the momma said went really good with the cheesecake Lupe made!!  There was also a red velvet cake, another chocolate bundt cake, 2 different kinds of cookies and something that Auntie Dee brought called Everything but the kitchen sink bars that everyone LOVED so much that the momma didn't even get to try one!  Oh, and when Dave showed up (after everyone else had gone home) he brought some left over Chinese food that they served at his and dad's work the night before to celebrate his anniversary (the momma forgot to ask how many years).

Did I mention that the weather was perfect?!?!?  Well, it was!!  A slight breeze, not too hot!  Just right!!  But it was a good thing that the momma borrowed the canopy from GGBR 'cuz it would have been too hot up on the deck without it!!  Kept the drinks cooler, too!

Well, the last person to leave was Auntie Terry, and when she did, the momma opened up all of her gifts!  She got Towels and soup bowls from Al and Joyce; a couple of gift cards from  Godmomma  Roni; Treats for us girls from Drac and Sophee; a Pyrex bowl with warmer from Godmomma Gloria; basset socks, a new leash for me, a bandana and more treats for me (WHAT - I have to share them, too?!?!? Sheesh!!) and the most amazing gift is something that the momma was going to order for when the new old house was ready - a canvas print of me and my fireman Ed!!  She put it on the mantel for now,but when she gets the bigger one for the new old house, she's taking this one to put in her office!!  Thank you Auntie Susan and Kewpie for thinking of ME!

So, after opening up all these gifts, she went in and soaked in a hot bath for about 20 minutes before she went to bed!  She said she needed that SO bad!!  Her knee was killing her by the end of the day and her feet were throbbing, too!  We finally went to bed about 11pm.

Oh, did I mention, that Sasha could hardly hold her head up after dinner tonight?!!?  She played and played SO much today!  She thought the pawty as just for her!  Silly puppy!! :-)

I don't expect to see either the momma or the dad horizontal very much tomorrow.  If they surprise me, I'll write about it (but don't hold your breath either!)  The momma did say something about taking the tables and canopy back to storage on Sunday, but I'd be surprised if she even puts them in her BUV!!  Shall we take bets!?!?  No, I suppose not!  However, if'n y'all wanted to throw some money around, you can sponsor me so that I might be queen of the 4th of July parade in Novato next year!  You can go to my donation page at:
www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/Gwen-Dossey-1/Waddle-2012
There are only a few days left to sponsor me, so if you haven't already spent all of your cookie money I would appreciate your support!

OK - it HAS been a LONG day, so I'll be signing off for tonight! Sleep well my friends and thanks for the continued love and support!!  Hugs!!
